A Lyceum institution, our faerie clan amasses new and dedicated followers each and every year. The clan is extensive and ever-evolving, making it one of the richest parts of our long term history. If your child has experienced a faerie camp in previous years, then you’ll know the palpable sense of excitement that accompanies them through our doors, and again as they recap their day on the way home. Christianne will begin by sharing the most recent happenings in the Lyceum faerie garden and delve into fae histories (via reams of tiny notes gathered over 32 years) to provide context.

Filled with wonder and awe, students will take time each day to create a collection of unique items to transform a hidden corner of their garden, deck or bedroom into a faerie-friendly haven. Tiny fingers will nestle miniature treasures in faerie glass gardens embellished with moss and sedum. To protect modesty, campers will fashion faerie dressing screens from drift wood, glass beads and shells to be hung nearby, ready for use. Finally we’ll use silicon molds to create faerie figures to paint with tiny brushes. In turn, these will be mounted on individual driftwood faerie doors embellished with harvested nature treasure from forest and beach walks.

We always make time for tiny treats, and will host a spectacular faerie tea to celebrate the sense of community we have no doubt fostered by the end of the week.
