Harry Potter: The Rag & Rune Bazaar

Primary/Intermediate • Ages 5 to 12

August 10 to 14 (five full days)

9:00 AM to 4:30 PM

$780+ GST

There’s one thing we can guarantee year after year, and it’s that the wizarding world of Harry Potter provides limitless exploration into the realm of imagination. No matter how many times you’ve read the books, or how many hours you’ve invested in devouring the movies, there will always be something else just waiting to be discovered. That’s why the Lyceum never fails to dream up new perspectives and spectacular crafts for the enduring tale of how good triumphs over evil.

For this particular week in August, students will witness first hand just how elastic time feels within the Lyceum’s four walls. Christianne will start each day by reading key passages from a selection of volumes, catering to the needs and desires of the group before we embark upon a truly unique voyage of crafting discovery. Each child will have the opportunity to construct their own miniature market stall to occupy the newest vacancy in Diagon Alley. Stock options are endless, as campers can stack the shelves with everything from tiny brooms to caged familiars and miniature potion bottles to tiny tomes of magic, making sure that every item is sized to model scale.  We never miss the chance to contact our Lyceum snitch (the fastest in the province) and will dedicate three afternoons to playing quidditch at Trimble.

Of course, we’ll dust off the jars and unlock the door to Honeydukes having furnished students with gallions, sickles and knuts for acts of kindness and compassion across the week.

This camp is always the talk of the town, and even Lyceum staff and volunteers want a ticket to attend. Be sure to get yours before the evanesco spell renders them all spoken for.
