In many countries the act of taking tea is a sacred ritual. Whether this conjures up images of ancient blends being handpicked by harvesters, or spending a moment or two huddled round the kettle with your favourite colleagues, it signifies the chance to take pause, and feed the soul. 

 

For this week together we will focus on creating our own tea blends, ensuring that we have ingredients to satisfy both experimentalists and purists alike. Not forgetting of course that we’ll need something to brew our warm drinks in, each student will have the chance to adorn a small china teapot and two cups using ceramic paints and a design of their choosing. 

 

Being this creative can really cause you to work up an appetite and knowing just how important fueling is, every night we’ll make a delectable treat to accompany our tea. Never wanting to miss the opportunity to bear witness to the transfer of knowledge, we’ll make sure it’s something that can be made with only a toaster oven, microwave or hot plate so that your teen will be the talk of their college dorm.
