Odysseus and the Cylops
THURSDAY, MARCH 18, 2021
9:00 AM TO 4:30 PM
The adventures of the Norse gods will remain eternally legendary. Arguably one of the most action-packed myths, Odysseus and his men sail through a wholly dismal night before happening upon the land of the Cyclopes. Viewed as uncivilized and brutish, the defining feature of these island dwellers just happened to be one giant eye in the middle of their foreheads. In order to try and avoid a ghastly fate, Odysseus uses his cunning to devise a plan. He and his men will break out of the cave using the Cyclop’s well-fattened livestock. We’ll employ all the patience we can muster to create our own veneer collaged ship to remember our voyage with Odysseus.
For campers who have always been enchanted by the Odyssey, or for those who just want to dip their toes in the cold Nordic waters.
